Overview
Reporting to the Operations Director you will have at least 5 years experience in warehouse and distribution. You will manage a 500,000 sq foot Distribution centre with a budget of 10 million for transport and 25 million for warehouse.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a team of employees across warehouse and transport to ensure a high‑quality service to customers.
* Operate in line with business strategy to support transformational change and increase profitability against all KPIs.
* Manage a large P&L and identify risks and opportunities within the operation.
* Demonstrate experience managing change programmes, driving excellence, and growing the operation.
* Collaborate with the general manager population and other group functions such as sales, finance and HR.
Qualifications
* Must be a graduate.
* Previous budget responsibility of 45 million.
* Experience working within a unionised environment and collaborating with union.
* At least 5 years experience in warehouse and distribution.
* Experience managing a 500,000 sq foot distribution centre with significant transport and warehouse budgets.
* Comfortable managing a large P&L.
* Experience with change programmes, driving excellence and growing an operation.
* Strong people skills, ability to develop teams and build relationships with customers.
* Position based in Birmingham within a large automation branch with potential for significant growth.
* Inhouse retailer background.
