About the Role
Our pensions administration teams support a wide range of defined benefit company pension schemes, delivering accurate and efficient services. Based in our Perth office, the Projects Team focuses on specialist initiatives including GMP equalisation, data cleansing, Barber rectifications, buy‑ins and buy‑outs, and Pension Dashboard implementation.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise and exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a positive client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage several project deliverables concurrently and take ownership of client reporting, ensuring accurate status updates, risk escalation, and stakeholder alignment.
* Participate in client meetings where appropriate.
* Seek ways of innovating and improving project delivery, creating efficiencies in processes and procedures.
* Assess project parameters, evaluating constraints and dependencies, and recommending the most efficient delivery approach.
* Create data load files to update payroll and internal systems.
* Perform complex manual calculations.
* Undertake and review rectification actions on member benefits and issue communications.
* Run automated systems extracts.
* Data manipulation and reviewing member records.
* Work closely with other departments/teams both internal and external to the Company.
* Ensure accurate time recording and meeting utilisation targets.
* Support on a variety of project‑based pension administration tasks.
* Undertake other similar activities as required.
Your Profile (Essential)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel – advanced use of pivot tables, complex formulas and accurate calculations.
* Defined Benefit (DB) pension experience – working with DB pension schemes.
* Experience – minimum of one year’s relevant experience or equivalent.
* Teamwork and autonomy – collaborative team player who can also work independently.
* Organisational and planning skills – excellent organisational and planning abilities.
* Prioritisation and time management – able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Procedural compliance and learning – quick to learn and consistently follow established procedures.
* Accountability – takes ownership and responsibility for own work.
* Attitude – positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach.
* Communication – effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail – high numerical and written accuracy with strong attention to detail.
Desirable
* Proven experience in projects such as GMP equalisations, buy‑in and buy‑out transactions, and pension data cleansing.
