Access have partnered with a European SME Engineering consultancy who are looking to expand their Geotechnical and Engineering Geology team in the UK – either in Leeds or London. Our client is a rapidly growing European firm who, thanks to continued growth and investment, have seen an incredibly fast rise in their staff numbers over the last 18 months. Covering both billion-dollar private and public sectors projects, our client is never short of work and is looking to add aspirational and multiskilled Geotechnical Engineer to their team.
Our client is looking for Engineers who are open minded, and keen to explore new markets, ideas and solutions, and apply a diverse skillset to an even more diverse project portfolio. You will be expected to hit the ground running, working on Geotechnical designs for multiple projects simultaneously – if you’re looking for a job where you just work on one project and one project only, then this isn’t the role for you! Our client is looking for candidates who can contribute heavily to the Technical part of the team, leading on design process for rail, highways and tunnelling contracts across Europe and the UK, while also learning on the fly to build commercial awareness and knowledge so that you can gain the required experience to progress up the ladder. Previous commercial focussed experience and BD is not essential due to the unique nature of this purely technical focussed role.
To be successful in this role, must have:
* 5-10 years of Geotechnical Design Experience
* Experience on Rail (HS2 preference), as well as other large scale heavy civil projects – (Highways, ports and harbours etc)
* Open mindedness - be comfortable exploring new areas, pushing comfort zones
* The right to live and work in the UK
