As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing LV systems and electrical infrastructure for offsite modular builds. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for: Producing detailed electrical designs and schematics using AutoCAD and Inventor Performing cable sizing and LV system calculations using Amtech (ProDesign) Creating lighting, heating, and ventilation layouts and calculations using Dialux Working collaboratively with mechanical, structural, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated, compliant designs Developing bills of materials (BOMs) and producing manufacturing documentation Supporting wider product development, including new systems and capital equipment specification where required Contributing to design reviews from tender stage through to contract completion We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with: A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. Working towards professional registration (e.g. MIET) would be a bonus. 3 to 5 years of experience in an electrical design role, ideally within modular construction, building services, or manufacturing environments. A solid grasp of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018). Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, Amtech (ProDesign), and Dialux or similar tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines and with external clients or consultants.
