About the Team A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our well respected Early Years Quality Inclusion SEND and Safeguarding Team (EYQISS team). The EYQISS team aim to provide a dynamic offer of advice guidance and support for early years and childcare providers, children and families to ensure every child, regardless of ability or background, thrives in a safe, inclusive, high-quality early years environment that nurtures their development, celebrates diversity, and empowers families and professionals. We work closely with our colleagues in early years sufficiency and business, health and the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership, to ensure our support is streamlined and effective. About the Role To work as part of a team with the responsibility to ensure the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities relating to safeguarding and quality improvement through access to advice, support and training, across early years and childcare provision. This role is to particularly focus on implementing strategies to support and advise on safeguarding, including delivering safeguarding training, using the early years safeguarding audit to identify key messages and responding to safeguarding queries in early years settings. Key Requirements Relevant early years qualification at level 3 or above Substantial experience of working at senior level within early years settings Knowledge and understanding of best early years practice, and policy and procedures to ensure children and young people are effectively safeguarded.
