We’re looking for a passionate Young Adults Resilience Worker to help us support, empower, and inspire young adults as they navigate challenges and work toward brighter futures. In the Young Adults Resilience Worker role, you’ll be at the heart of an innovative project focused on engaging young adults with a fresh, non-judgmental approach. This isn’t a traditional drug and alcohol service—it's a supportive, fact-based environment designed to empower healthier choices, reduce harm, and build resilience. You’ll be joining a warm and supportive team in Nottingham, led by a compassionate and experienced team leader, and surrounded by colleagues who truly care. Where: Nottingham City Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35 (pro rata for part-time hours) Please note: Full‑time roles at Change Grow Live are based on 37.5 hours per week. Part‑time salaries will be prorated accordingly. Responsibilities Become a vital part of our multi‑disciplinary team, supporting young adults to reduce risk, build resilience, and live safer, healthier lives. About the role You will primarily support young adults aged 18–24 across Nottingham, with some work involving those under 18. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a caseload of young adults affected by drug and/or alcohol use. Completing assessments, developing care plans, and delivering 1:1 psychosocial and digital interventions. Facilitating group sessions, outreach work, and community events. Providing harm reduction advice and brief interventions. Working collaboratively with partner agencies. Attending safeguarding meetings and delivering training where needed. Using strong engagement skills to build trust and positive relationships. Applying robust knowledge of safeguarding for young people and adults. About You You will bring: Experience supporting young people and a genuine passion for making a difference. A strong understanding of the challenges young adults face today. Empathy, professionalism, and a non-judgmental approach to substance-related issues. The ability to build strong, supportive professional relationships. Experience working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners. Knowledge and experience supporting young people who use substances. Confidence in delivering training to varied audiences and in different settings. Your skills, experience, and approach will help transform lives and strengthen communities.
