Engineering Manager -
Reporting to the Operations Director, your role will be to effectively, efficiently and safely manage, direct and co-ordinate the Engineering Department and Engineering Activities on site to ensure they comply with both company and legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the site training requirements are met to ensure an effective, well-balanced and flexible workforce.
2. Comply with the Company H&S Policy and procedures at all times.
3. Monitor costs within the areas of responsibility throughout the year and ensure they remain within the allocated budget.
4. Ensure customer specifications and quality standards are achieved and maintained with regard to engineering activities.
5. Liaise with all department managers.
6. Plan and organise all engineering activities.
7. Maintain hygiene standards.
8. Prepare and establish priorities for the engineering department.
9. Liaise with all departments as well as external contractors appropriately.
10. Give feedback to production regarding the expected downtime and planned corrective action.
11. Negotiate with clients to finalise all engineering project’s specifications.
12. Ensure project's are cost effective and meet the factory and H&S requirements
13. Focus on KPI’s and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets.
