Overview
Health and Safety Cluster Advisor at Sarum Road Hospital. 37.5 Hours & Permanent, Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification). This full‑time role is based in Winchester covering six sites between Poole, Dorchester, Bath, Swindon and Carmarthen.
Duties
* You give clear advice to Senior Management Teams (SMTs) in your cluster of sites on compliance with legislation, guidance and policies and actively assist and support with implementation.
* You help demonstrate an appropriate level of compliance with relevant health and safety standards to CHG’s regulators, i.e., CQC, HIS, HIW, HSE, EA, local government agents and other stakeholders as required.
* You collaborate and communicate with the HSCL to improve health and safety performance, consistency and compliance across your shared cluster sites.
* You coordinate and achieve the designated H&S time allocation for each site with the HSCL.
* You assist in identifying and sharing lessons learned following incidents in your cluster of sites.
* You contribute to corporate projects and initiatives such as CHG policies and procedural development, research, and training.
* You raise intolerable H&S risks to the Operational Manager/Director and propose practical recommendations for improvement.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Operational Health & Safety.
* Level 3 qualification in H&S Management.
* H&S professional registration (IOSH) or willingness to apply.
* Fire safety skills.
* Competency as a Risk Assessor.
* Contractor safety management skills.
* RCA / Incident investigation skills.
* Experience undertaking audits.
