About the role The Events Operations Supervisor will support the delivery of high quality events at Sustainable Ventures, working across both internal community activities and external client facing events. This hands-on role is focused on ensuring smooth operations, from set up and logistics through to take down, while also coordinating with colleagues across teams to provide an excellent experience for guests and members. It does not involve event sales or end to end event planning. The Events Supervisor will work closely with, and report directly to, the Events Manager, helping to oversee day to day operations and supporting the Hospitality Assistant in their duties. Key responsibilities Support the Events Manager in delivering seamless event operations, including set up, delivery, and take down; Take the lead on smaller events and assist in supervising larger events as required; Act as the main on-site contact during events when delegated, ensuring smooth logistics and quick problem-solving; Operate AV equipment confidently, troubleshooting issues where possible and escalating when necessary; Coordinate with the Events Sales team to ensure client requirements are understood and met; Work closely with Front of House and Café teams to maintain a consistent, high-quality guest experience; Help manage the events rota, ensuring effective coverage across the team; Provide guidance and day-to-day support to the Hospitality Assistant, helping to ensure tasks are delivered effectively; Maintain event spaces and equipment, ensuring they are kept clean, safe, and in good working order; Contribute to post-event feedback and debriefs, sharing insights with the wider team. We need you to have experience in Experience & Knowledge Previous experience in events operations, ideally in a fast-paced hospitality, coworking, or events environment; Experience working across teams to coordinate service delivery; Some supervisory experience, or readiness to step up into a supervisory role. Skills & Attributes Highly organised with excellent attention to detail; Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and members; Hands-on, practical approach with a willingness to roll up sleeves and get involved in delivery; Calm and solutions-focused when challenges arise; Flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities; Commitment to delivering excellent client and member experiences. You ideally have experience in Experience in sustainability-focused organisations or co-working environments. Knowledge of health & safety or first aid in an events context. Familiarity with AV systems and confidence in basic troubleshooting. Benefits Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, on an 8 hour shift in standard working hours 8am - 10pm. Additional flexibility required to cover events.
