The FinOps Analyst is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing cloud spending to maximize business value. They bridge the gap between finance, technology, and engineering teams, developing reports, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring accountability for cloud usage.
Contract – 6 months
Location – Waterside (UB7 0GB)
Hybrid – 1–2 days on-site per week
Pay – attractive daily rate (Inside IR35)
Core Responsibilities
* CrossFunctional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Engineering, Product and Procurement teams to drive a culture of cost accountability and awareness.
* Analysis and Reporting: Perform daily analysis of cloud consumption, providing custom dashboards and reports to stakeholders regarding budget vs. actuals.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on forecasting cloud costs for future workloads and project budgets.
* Product Roadmap: Contribute to the BAFOS Product Roadmap through understanding BA Finance and Ops Framework.
*ernance & Automation: Build tools to analyze spending, detect anomalies, and enforce financialernance across cloud infrastructure
* Cloud Spend Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, such as rightsizing, managing savings plans/reservations, and removing waste.
Key Skills and Experience
* Experience: Few years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related technology field.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel and data analytics tools; knowledge of cloud cost management tools (, CloudHealth, Cloudability) and AWS/Azure/GCP cost platforms.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology, or a related field.
* Soft Skills: Strongmunication skills tomunicateplex technical cost data to non-technical stakeholders, plus strong problem-solving skills
