We are seeking a Senior Quality Mechanical Inspector to join our F1 Team in Faenza, Italy.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Senior Quality Mechanical Inspector will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, ensuring component traceability, managing NCRs and CRs, and supporting track fault investigations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection Procedures, Non-Conformities, and Concession Requests
2. Perform inspection procedures on components delivered to the Quality Department by external suppliers and internal production, adhering to established procedures.
3. Manage Non-Conformities (NCR) and Concession Requests (CR) from both internal production and external suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
4. Participate in technical meetings with designers to address Non-Conformities and Concession Requests, ensuring appropriate actions and solutions are implemented.
Traceability and Investigation Support
1. Ensure traceability of inspections during the inspection phase, following Quality Department guidelines.
2. Assist in investigations related to faults and issues involving car parts, equipment, or production tools, in collaboration with the Reliability Department, Design Office, and Race Team.
3. Support the Production Department by performing inspections during the production process.
Experience and Qualifications
* Technical high school diploma.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive companies, preferably in motorsport.
* Proficiency in reading technical drawings with expertise in precision mechanics, materials, and material treatments.
* Familiarity with measurement tools, including:
o Coordinate Measuring Machines: Zeiss (Calypso software) and/or Hexagon (PolyWorks software).
o Anthropomorphic Measuring Arms: with laser scanning head (preferably with PolyWorks software).
o Standard Bench Tools: micrometer, vernier, gauge blocks, roughness meter, hardness meter, profilometer, etc.
* Knowledge of automotive quality systems and procedures.
* Experience working with external suppliers.
* Understanding of non-conformity management and traceability concepts.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (preferred).
* Proficiency in English (B1 level preferred).
* High flexibility, including willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.
* Proactive attitude and strong stress management skills.
* Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad for business.
