Job summary
We are seeking a part time receptionist with excellent communication,customer service and IT skills to join our team at The Cedars. The receptionsupports our acute mental health wards and is the first point of contact forour visitors and callers who use our service.
The position is hours per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)
Main duties of the job
1. Greeting and liaising with patients, clinicians and external agencies
2. Email and telephone correspondence
3. Scanning and uploading of patient records
4. Ordering of stationary, uniform etc
5. Logging of estates issues
6. Issuing of keys
7. Post/ Deliveries
8. Supporting Ward Managers/ admin with adhoc tasks

9. Customer Service/Receptionist qualification to Level 3 or equivalent experience in practice
10. GCSE English or equivalent
11. Evidence of continuing professional and personal development

12. Excellent organisational skills.
13. Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required
14. Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team
15. Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information
16. Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes
17. Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
18. Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting
19. Understanding and respect of confidentiality in the workplace.
Knowledge
Essential
20. Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
21. Working knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments
22. Experience or understanding of creating electronic records, electronic filing systems
23. Electronic data base management.
24. Ability to manage diverse workload whilst dealing with frequent interruptions
25. Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
26. Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise
27. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
28. Ability to provide a high standard of secretarial support for meetings organising, booking venues and minute taking
