Role Objectives

The People Outcomes Partner role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery (from conception, including identification of solutions and development of these, through to execution) of significant people outcomes identified by the Global People Leadership Team as those that will contribute the most value to the delivery of the business and workforce strategies.

The outcomes will be those in the People function’s priorities workplan that are the biggest value drivers and require cross functional expertise (Centre of Expertise, Commercial People Partners and Business SME’s) to enable their delivery.

Working with the Director of Colleague Experience and People Outcomes, you will ensure delivery is achieved by working cross-functionally with relevant teams across the People Function and wider business as relevant.

Role Responsibilities

* Deliver the outcome(s) assigned to you through working creatively and collaboratively with the relevant stakeholders (this may be made up of a diverse set of resources dependent on the outcome, including colleagues from the Global Centre’s of Expertise, Regional People teams, and business stakeholders). Lead through to conclusion and ensure that identified measures of success are met or exceeded. Outcomes could be to deliver a variety of programmes that will drive strategic value across one or more of our areas of People strategy.
* Work collaboratively with the outcome sponsor (one of the People Leadership Team) in a data led way to identify fresh views and hypotheses on root causes and / or solutions. Engage with them on a regular basis on the solutions being identified and developed and agree ongoing governance processes.
* Personally identify and develop innovative solutions to the outcomes / any barriers encountered to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and drive value for the business. Seek external stimuli and inspiration when developing solutions to maximise options considered to get to the best solution.
* Remove barriers to execution and influence stakeholders in the outcome accordingly to ensure that the measures of success can be delivered. This may require you to influence stakeholders to engage in solutions that have not been previously tried and tested in our business (outcome dependent). Use good judgement to escalate any risks to the Director of Colleague Experience and People Outcomes, outcome sponsor and /or the People Leadership Team as required.
* Determine the most appropriate methodology for the outcome delivery (e.g. agile / waterfall etc) to ensure that pace, quality, and the measures of success are balanced and delivered effectively, maximising value to the business.

* Coordinate and maintain the Global People plan to accurately reflect local, regional and global priorities and ensuring sequencing, resource utilisation and audience impact are considered.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the People Leadership Team and wider business on the people aspects of change programmes as an expert in this space.
* Build strong relationships with People Leadership team sponsor, People Centres of Expertise, and key business stakeholders to deliver through collective contribution and cross-team collaboration and ensure that the delivery of outcomes land effectively with colleagues in the business.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

* Data driven, with a proven ability of identifying trends and making appropriate recommendations.
* Be Bold and Curious - Proven experience of identifying, innovating and developing credible solutions to business problems. You will need to have creative, problem-solving skills to ensure that the right solutions to the outcome are identified. Often there won’t be tried and tested processes or solutions to select from when deciding how to approach delivery of an outcome.
* Strong expertise of different HR specialisms.
* Strong influencing skills at all levels (up to Ops Board), as you will need to engage, challenge and leverage resource / SMEs from the wider people function but also other parts of the business depending on the outcome.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience working in a commercially focused organisation.
* Own the Outcomes - takes full accountability for outcomes / issues end to end and through to resolution.
* Make it better - identifies opportunities to make the way we work simpler or looks for ways of improving service in the team. Encourages others to deliver results by making decisions and trying new approaches.
