HR Business Partner | City of London | £70,000 to £75,000 + bonus + benefits
We are partnering with a global financial services organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner into their London team. This is a high-impact role within a well-established but evolving HR function, supporting both UK and international populations in a regulated environment.
This is a true generalist HR Business Partner position, offering breadth across the full employee lifecycle while working closely with senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering both operational excellence and commercially focused HR support, ensuring the business receives a high-quality, consistent and compliant HR service aligned to global standards.
The role will see you operating at the centre of the business, providing expert guidance across employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition and organisational support. You will be heavily involved in embedding performance frameworks, supporting managers with complex ER matters, and contributing to talent development and succession planning initiatives. Alongside this, you will play an active role in onboarding, global mobility, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements including SMCR and wider financial services frameworks .
There is also a strong reward and data component to the role. You will support annual compensation cycles, contribute to benefits renewals, and work closely with HR data to ensure accuracy, reporting and insight. This includes producing management information, maintaining HR systems and continuously improving data integrity and processes to support better decision making across the business .
Given the nature of the environment, this role requires someone who is comfortable operating at pace, managing competing priorities and working with a degree of ambiguity. You will need to be hands-on, detail-oriented and able to move between operational delivery and more tactical input with ease. The ability to influence stakeholders, coach managers and navigate a regulated, international business environment will be key.
We are specifically looking for candidates with strong HR generalist experience within financial services, ideally with exposure to regulated environments, reward processes and complex employee relations. Experience working internationally, alongside a strong analytical mindset and the ability to use HR data effectively, will be important differentiators.
Due to the urgency of the hire, we are particularly keen to speak with candidates who are immediately available or on a short notice period.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected organisation where HR has genuine visibility and influence, and where you will be able to make a meaningful impact from day one.
