Job Description
The Environment Agency’s Commercial and Framework Management (CAFM) team needs a Commercial Services Manager to support commercial governance of contracts, develop commercial pathways and deliver value for money across the organisation.

Responsibilities
 * Support the team overseeing commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors.
 * Set up and manage pathfinder programmes that embed best practice and develop long‑term collaborative partnership arrangements.
 * Champion effective governance and commercial assurance across the integrated delivery management community.
 * Build excellent internal and external relationships and become an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations.
 * May undertake training and incident response duties as required.
Essential Education, Skills & Behaviours
 * A‑Level or Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent).
 * Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
 * Stakeholder management experience.
 * Strong data and document management skills.
 * Commercial acumen – analyse business situations, take proportionate risks and deliver value for money.
 * Administration skills – organisation, minute‑taking and report drafting.
 * Willingness to pursue long‑term professional qualifications (e.g. NEC training, CIPS).
 * Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
Desired Education & Professional Qualification
 * Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
 * Progress towards status with a recognised professional body such as ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS or RICS.
 * Formal training in contract management (e.g. NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).

Additional Information
Job is not eligible for sponsorship. The role may involve travel and occasional overnight stays.
