Job Overview
2 personal assistants required to support a happy and lively 14-year-old girl living in Bude.
The girl has Autism and a learning disability and would like someone she can build a positive relationship with and provide 2:1 support.
Responsibilities
Assist with communication, facilitate outdoor activities such as park visits and shopping, support sensory play including water, bubbles and baking, and enable her to enjoy activities in her local community.
Requirements
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential.
* A full driving licence is desirable.
* Ability to provide a nurturing, patient and flexible support environment.
Working Hours
Up to 5 hours per week are available, with flexible scheduling. Mainly weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Compensation
£16.00 per hour.
Additional Information
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and will not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
