About the role: The successful candidate will work as part of the mechanical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction (RIBA Stages 1-6).
Key Responsibilities
* Design, specifications, and construction stage project management of mechanical projects (all aspects of Mechanical Services), covering all RIBA stages.
* Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ensure all projects meet British Standards, CIBSE Guides to Good Practice, and other relevant legislation.
* Conduct Mechanical Services Feasibility Studies and Energy Efficiency Reports.
* Attend project meetings and regular Design Department meetings for workload planning.
* Develop strong relationships with team members.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential Skills:
* Ability to manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines while maintaining good communication with clients and design teams.
* Project leadership and client-facing experience.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of industry regulations, mechanical design, and installations.
* Understanding of electrical services.
Knowledge & Qualifications
* Good working knowledge of utility services, both new connections and disconnections.
* Project management experience in building service projects.
* ONC/HNC in building services engineering or equivalent professional qualifications.
Experience
* Experience in mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy, and/or mechanical installations.
* Proficiency with design calculation software such as AutoCAD & IES.
* Experience with renewable technologies and systems.
* Experience with design calculation software like Design Builder, Cymap, BIM projects, and Revit.
