Creativity meets craftsmanship in this exciting opportunity for an Art & Design Technology Teacher in Maidstone! Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (September until December 2025 initially)
Salary: £162 - £223 per day
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and hands-on Art & DT lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving.
* Guide students in designing, building, and refining projects using a variety of materials and techniques.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel inspired to experiment and innovate.
* Support students in developing technical skills, from sketching to construction.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and create exciting learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design Technology.
* Experience teaching KS3-KS4 students.
* Ability to motivate and engage students in both practical and theoretical lessons.
* Enthusiasm for extracurricular creative projects and school-wide events.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
