Hybrid role WFH/Midlands with travel to UKtradeshows/events
Our client is a household namein the supply of laboratory equipment chemicals and labconsumables. They are synonymous with being able to supply the bestin class quality laboratory consumables and life science equipmentin the UK and can cater for all laboratory procurement needsoffering the best brands and best value lab products to a diverserange of market sectors and laboratories across thecountry.
They now need a Marketing/EventsExecutive to further drive market awareness through trade show/exhibition project management social media and copywriting. This isa brandnew role and will be a fastpaced dynamic position where notwo days will ever be thesame!
Tasks
Reporting to theMarketing Director you will be responsible for undertaking amultifaceted role as follows:
Trade shows/exhibition and EventsManagement you will be responsible for projectmanaging the companys successful participation in exhibiting atLaboratory trade shows and exhibitions; from organising themarketing collateral giveaways fliers marketing brochures labequipment to be showcased exhibition stands through to the packingand logistics organisation of the exhibition equipment to the tradeshows and set up you will be solely responsible for the success ofthe trade shows from a marketing perspective. You will be expectedto travel and set up/break down the exhibition stands and for someof the shows you will act as a Brand Ambassador and MarketingExecutive be on stand throughout the duration of the trade show.This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of the company attrade shows see you work come to fruition at the successful eventsyou have organised and meetcustomers!
Social mediaposts you will be responsible for tweeting/postingon LinkedIn Instagram YouTube etc. in the run up duration and afterthe trade show events to ensure maximumpublicity.
PR/copywriting you will write copy for newsletters pressreleases relating to lab products and trade showsattended.
Getcreative! You will produce new marketingmaterial/marketing collateral for the trade shows put togetherdesign specifications and work with the inhouse graphic designer tocreate new marketing brochures and fliers giveaways and make myclients stands at shows the best attended in the hall on theday!
Travel youwill travel to ensure the smooth set up break down and at thelarger shows be on stand at the exhibition and trade shows acrossthe UK. You will also need to go into the clients office in theMidlands 2/3 days per week or as and when required to attend salesmeetings marketing departmental meetingstoo!
Requirements
Theideal candidate will have:
* A Marketing DegreeEvents Management Degree orequivalent
* Excellent organisational admultitasking ability to ensure a successful trade show/exhibitionis exhibited at seamlessly without aglitch!
* Project Management ability to hitdeadlines and make amazing events happen.
* Atrue storyteller must have sound copy writing/content creationability with excellent command of the Englishlanguage.
* Strong attention to detail and ameticulous planner
* Excellent social mediamarketing skills on Twitter LinkedIn Facebook Instagrametc.
* Minimum 2 years experience in an eventsmanagement/a traditional marketing role
* Livingin the Midlands willing to travel significantly across the UK toset up/break down and attend trade shows.
* A cando creative fast paced selfstarter attitude who wants to be part ofa winning marketingteam!
