We are currently seeking an Assistant Head Teacher based at our SEN School in Grantham.

Compensation: £43,780 - £48,160 / year
We are currently seeking an Assistant Head Teacher based at our SEN School in Grantham.
This school is a friendly and successful provision, supporting vulnerable young children aged 7-18 with special education needs.
The role is ideal for qualified teachers who have acted as middle leaders and are aspiring to their first senior leadership role. We welcome applications from those eager to start a career in school leadership.
The successful candidate will also act as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Headteacher:
1. Ensure safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made.
2. Act as the central point of contact and expert source for safeguarding matters, providing advice, support, managing concerns and referrals, and promoting a culture of safety.
3. Conduct regular peer reviews of teaching staff to ensure high standards.
4. Schedule and complete half-termly supervisions with the teaching team.
5. Plan and deliver effective lessons.
6. Meet the emotional and physical needs of young people and maximize development opportunities.
7. Promote and follow equality and diversity policies.
8. Maintain good quality records and monitor progress.
9. Provide personalized educational programs based on robust assessments.
10. Perform duties as outlined in the Teacher Standards.

Essential Requirements:
* QTS qualification
* Experience as a DSL or within a safeguarding team
* SEND experience
* Leadership ability to develop outstanding outcomes
* Ability to build relationships with young people, families, and external agencies
* Involvement in school self-evaluation and resource deployment
