We are working with a nursery school in Barnet seeking to appoint an EYFS Teacher from September 2026.
Responsibilities of this EYFS Teacher role:
Stay up to date with educational research and policies through training, workshops, and reading, while actively implementing all school and local authority initiatives.
Promote a positive school culture by modelling excellent teaching practice, motivating staff, and representing the school in meetings with governors and external networks.
Plan and deliver a high-quality, engaging, and inclusive EYFS curriculum that supports children's early development across the prime and specific areas of learning.
Monitor pupil progress closely, using assessment observations and EYFS frameworks to identify and implement effective interventions that support communication, language, personal development, and early literacy and numeracy skills.
Create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, independence, and positive behaviour for learning.
Support children's social, emotional, and academic development through play-based and child-centred learning experiences.
Collaborate regularly with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support individual learning needs and communicate pupil progress and curriculum developments.
The Ideal Candidate for this EYFS Teacher role will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within EYFS
Have strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework, including early phonics and child development
Be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that inspire young learners
Show excellent classroom and behaviour management
Be a team player with a reflective, proactive approach
Demonstrate a nurturing and creative teaching style
