Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our Production Department. The role involves supporting the manufacture, installation, testing, and modification of electrical and avionics systems in aircraft and major components, following approved data and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture aircraft electrical/electronic components according to drawings.
* Produce wiring harnesses using specialist hand tools.
* Test electrical/electronic components during manufacturing with basic test equipment.
* Perform crimping, soldering, wiring harness forming, and lacing to meet aeronautical standards.
* Complete technical documentation and process packs.
* Follow tool control procedures and health and safety policies.
* Install wiring harnesses, electrical, and avionics components into aircraft or components.
* Ensure calibration of tools and test equipment is up to date.
Skills and Experience
* BTEC ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Electronics discipline.
* Recognized Electrical/Electronic or avionics apprenticeship (desirable).
* Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing electrical/electronic equipment or wiring harnesses.
* Experience with basic electrical/electronic test equipment.
* Aircraft or aerospace production experience (desirable).
* Experience working on small turboprop or piston fixed-wing aircraft (desirable).
