Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Staffordshire-based client to recruit for a Production Planning Manager.
You'll be tasked with leading a planning team and playing a major part in shaping the production planning strategy, ensuring that the planning processes is improved.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring it is aligned with demand forecasts and business objectives.
* Conduct material planning processes to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable.
* Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
* Drive effective use of ERP systems.
* Provide regular reporting and analysis on planning KPIs, production performance.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a Production Planning or Demand planning environment from within a manufacturing environment
* Vast knowledge of Production planning techniques and methodologies
* Previous experience using an MRP system
* Previous experience of managing a team, including coaching and career development
* Highly organised
