Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer

A well-known and highly respected heavy engineering company based in Sheffield is looking to recruit a Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled maintenance team.
This role is ideal for a Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in machine building, looking to work in a technically demanding environment with long-term stability and excellent company benefits.
The Role of the Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, maintenance, and repair on heavy industrial machinery
Planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment
Working on machines built in-house, including commissioning, modifications, and upgrades
Fault finding on PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Supporting breakdown response to minimise downtime
Working closely with engineering, build, and production teams
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with regulationsThe Ideal Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer
Apprentice-trained or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in machine building - essential
Strong multi-skilled maintenance background within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
Confident with both electrical and mechanical fault finding
PLC fault-finding experience advantageous
