Job Description
You will be responsible for managing teams within the Warehouse whilst motivating employees on shift. You will ensure all aspects of Health & Safety within the Warehouse are maintained and product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet set KPI's.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off rotating - 06.00-18.00/18:00-06:00
Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Manager:
1. Leading a team of Team Leaders and General Warehouse Operatives in their daily workload.
2. Ensuring that orders are picked, marshalled, unloaded and loaded in line with Customer specifications.
3. Carry out daily inspections of the work place.
4. Complete and Carry out Personal Development Plans for all members of their team.
5. Ensure that a high standard of Health & Safety is adhered within the working environment.
6. Communicating regularly with Team Leaders/Senior Managers regarding any issues that may arise within the warehouse.
7. Manage the team’s performance in line with KPI’s as required.
8. Adhere to Hygiene policy ensuring that the companies waste management program is adhered too and that we remain BRC compliant.
9. Ensure that is adequate support for the picking, marshalling, cleaning, goods-in, pallet checking teams at all times.
Qualifications
10. Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
11. Should have good oral and written communication skills.
12. Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers and customers.
13. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
14. Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
15. Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.
16. Able to work as part of a team or individually.
17. Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns.
18. PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
19. Working knowledge of WMS systems would be useful but not essential.
20. Experience in a packing, or e-commerce operation would be advantageous
