A Support Worker is required for a specialist case management and rehabilitation company providing Support Work, Case Management, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Medico Legal services to children and adults across North East England, North West England and Scotland.
This is a part-time role based in Langwathby (days, evenings & weekends), covering a period of maternity. You will receive a salary of £14 per hour, plus full supervision, training opportunities, participation in the Better Health at Work Scheme and company events/social activities.
What youll be doing as Support Worker
You will be working with a 68-year-old client with Acquired Brain Injury. He requires support to keep him focussed on daily living tasks, including prompting to take medication and some assistance with personal care. He previously enjoyed the outdoors and was very active. This post would suit an active lover of the outdoors. You will assist him in accessing the community, engaging in activities of interest to him and being an integral part of his rehabilitation. Someone who is passionate about rehabilitation and reaching goals would be ideal for this role.
What were looking for in a Support Worker
Previous experience working in the Health Sector.
UK Driving licence and familiarity with driving a large car.
Trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
