An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our friendly and experienced Occupational Therapy team within acute service at Warwick Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in gathering information and provision of equipment for pre‑operative patients awaiting surgery under the guidance and supervision of Occupational Therapists.
* Work as part of a broader multi‑disciplinary team and help evaluate the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy input using validated outcome measures.
* Assist with data management and input.
* Liaise and work with patients, carers, other healthcare professionals and external agencies regularly, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Multi‑task in a busy environment and manage workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
* Assist in the implementation of an AI chatbot into the planned surgery pathway for Occupational Therapy.
* Assist in managing an agreed caseload of patients within the service speciality area under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
* Follow recognised professional standards, the agreed therapy pathway and best practice in the designated area of speciality, liaising with the Occupational Therapist as necessary.
Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of Occupational Therapy is preferred.
