Assist the Student Support Services Manager in the day-to-day delivery of support services to CAFRE learners. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
* Ensure effective case management for learners with welfare concerns, learning differences, health conditions, and/or disabilities.
* Ensure compliance with the Special Educational Needs and Disability (Northern Ireland) Order 2005, Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
* Contribute to the assessment of learner needs and the development of tailored support strategies.
* Coordinate additional learning support, including in-class assistance and one-to-one or small group sessions.
* Maintain accurate records of support, outcomes, and learner progress.
* Liaise with parents, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to learner support.
* Act as the primary contact for learners who are Care Experienced.
* Safeguarding: Fulfil the duties of Deputy Designated Person for safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Support the implementation of safeguarding measures across CAFRE.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with teaching teams and the Student Support Services Manager regarding individual learner support needs.
* Contribute to policy development relating to learner welfare.
* Learner Counselling and Wellbeing: Coordinate counselling and welfare services in collaboration with contracted providers.
* Design and deliver a programme of extra-curricular activities aimed at enhancing learner wellbeing, personal development, and resilience. Activities may include awareness workshops, wellbeing events, and themed campaigns.
* Data and Reporting: Manage data collation and oversee input into the Learner Management System (training provided).
* Contribute to report writing, risk assessments, and progress tracking which may include attending learner progress reviews.
* Financial Support: Provide learners with information on student grants, loans, and other financial support. Oversee the administration of student hardship funds.
Skills and Qualifications
* Applicants must, by the closing date for applications: At least an Honours degree in any discipline.
* AND At least two years’ demonstrable experience of working in an educational setting that provides learning support to learners aged 16 and over, along with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* AND Hold a full current driving licence, valid in UK and have access to a form of transport to enable them to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

Salary: £37,694 - £38,990 per annum. Contract type: Permanent. Number of vacancies: 2. Weekly hours: 40. Worktime: Monday - Friday.
