Remuneration: Circa £5k to £8k per month
Description: Part-time PREDOMINANTLY PRIVATE Dentist required for 2-3 days per week, in a predominantly private & independently owned practice near Winscombe, Somerset.
Responsibilities include:
1. Taking over a mature list of predominantly Private and Denplan patients and a smaller list of NHS patients.
2. Delivering a small proportion of 1000 - 2000 UDAs/year (pro-rata) @ £13.00 - £14.00/UDA.
3. Performing about 10 UDAs per day, mostly children, with most of the day filled with Private work.
4. Maintaining an established and growing list of private patients.
5. Sharing a 50% split on Private work and lab fees.
The practice has been established for over 20 years, with a mature patient list and a waiting list for private and payment plan patients. Support is provided by an allocated nurse, hygienists/therapists, receptionists, and a decontamination lead. The facility includes 5 surgeries, digital radiography, rotary endo, modern dental chairs, high-end restorative materials, and a decontamination room.
Since early 2024, the practice has transitioned from NHS to Private/Denplan, with only a small NHS patient list remaining. Currently, 4 fully booked dentists contribute to the practice. The practice supports skill development for special interests or specialties.
