This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the Early Years Foundation Stage, working with pupils who have a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, non‑verbal communication, and EAL.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to EYFS pupils with SEN needs, ensuring inclusive access to early learning
* Assist with personal care routines, communication strategies, and social development
* Adapt EYFS resources and activities to meet individual learning requirements
* Support non‑verbal and EAL learners with communication and inclusion
* Promote positive behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to track pupil progress
👤 Candidate Requirements
* UK primary school or EYFS experience is essential
* Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and EAL
* Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to working with young children
* Enhanced DBS and references (APT Education will support with compliance)
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils of early years age and helping them thrive
