Role Summary
Working for the Project Department to ensure the safe, effective and proficient installation of Flowbird Solutions including but not limited to ANPR car park solutions, Pay & Display Terminals and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations.

To project manage, install, commission and repair Flowbird equipment supplied by Flowbird on the customer’s site & assist other internal departments when required.
Willingness to work unsociable hours and away from home is essential; this may include weekend and/or bank holiday working, as necessary. Travelling the length & breadth of the UK with occasional oversees visits.
This role will suit a motivated and self-driven engineer who can combine Project Management and Technical skills.
Ensuring that work packages and projects are progressed and completed in the most efficient and profitable manner for Flowbird, within timescales and budget, whilst at the same time working with suppliers and contractors to project a highly professional image to our customers.
Working with project teams (Flowbird, customer and subcontractors) the project engineer will ensure:
* Specifications agreed by the sales team and customer can be fulfilled.
* Any engineering or specification based queries are addressed internally, and discussed (agreed) with the customer.
* Products are to be installed at appropriate and safe locations, ensuring the customer is kept fully appraised of any concerns which may affect safe or reliable system operation.
* Take responsibility for coordinating all engineering functions, this will include coordinating work packages with colleagues, the customer and often the customer’s subcontractors (Civil engineers, utilities providers, local authorities etc…)
* Organising/ conducting "pre-installation" training of customers and on-site training during installation periods.
* Contribute to a service minded and client oriented approach and promptly responds to external and internal correspondence with the service of the client in focus.
* Accurate records are kept of all installations; this will include detailed site plans.
* Ability to take a project from conception to completion, including planning, installation, commissioning and handover.
* Provide detailed handover pack to service support team upon scheme go-live.
* Planning, configuration and commissioning of management and network systems.
* Repair, installation and commissioning of access control equipment, ticket-vending equipment and perform basic customer training.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance to a predetermined schedule.
* Manage and control sufficient stock levels of spare parts/replacement modules necessary for the area of operation and product population therein.
* To conduct yourself and promote Flowbird in a professional manner at all time
* Escalate un-resolved field issues to UK Technical support or UK system team.
* Produce detailed reports when required of outstanding issues.
This is a nationwide role so the ideal candidate needs to have the flexibility to drive where required, ideally located near major road links.
Candidate Requirements
Basic understanding of IP networks.
Skilled use of Google/Microsoft Office packages.
Full UK Driving Licence
Core Skills & Abilities
Ability to install and commission, including fault finding & communication networks.
A methodical approach to fault finding and issue resolution.
Ability to create and manage Project Gant charts.
Ability to communicate at different levels, from sub-contractors up to senior customer representatives.
Ability to manage several work packages or entire small projects concurrently with excellent time management.
High standard of written English
Ability to work to deadlines, working the hours required to overcome issues arising, utilising a “can do” attitude.
Attention to detail for own and team duties whilst undertaking project tasks.
Keep accurate written and diagrammatic records of all work undertake, in a form which can easily be understood by non-technical staff.
Ability to discuss technical issues with all levels of customer staff, often at a non-technical level.
Ability to deal with staff at all levels.
Excellent oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
