Job Details The post holder will undertake responsibilities as a member of the HR team to provide efficient and effective administrative support to meet the Academy’s staffing and people management needs. The HR Apprentice will support day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and compliance. They will ensure processes are carried out accurately, confidentially, and in a timely manner, while adapting to support the wider HR function and school priorities. Job Description HR Administration Support ● Provide high-quality administrative support to the HR function under the direction of the People ● Coordinator and Head of People ● Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR and school procedures ● Update staff information in personnel files and on HR systems including Arbor and Access ● Support onboarding processes including preparing induction packs and staff files ● Assist in organising recruitment campaigns, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate correspondence ● Support with pre-employment checks such as DBS, references, and right to work documentation ● Support in managing meeting spaces for HR related events and meetings Recruitment & Compliance Support ● Assist with maintaining safer recruitment records in line with safeguarding requirements ● Support the coordination of interviews and assessment activities ● Support monitoring of mandatory training and compliance requirements General HR Duties ● Always maintain confidentiality, particularly in relation to sensitive HR matters ● Provide support for absence monitoring and record-keeping ● Assist with staff wellbeing initiatives and internal communications and events ● Keep well-organised files and records of HR activity ● Use spreadsheets and HR systems to track data ● Participate in meetings and take minutes as requested ● Manage own workload and development effectively
