This is an opportunity to support unpaid carers by offering them time to rest and recharge — all while making a meaningful difference in someone else’s day.
What we are looking for
A good support work is responsive to individual needs, and your role will evolve to ensure the best outcomes for those you support. You will always have access to a manager and the wider team to discuss all aspects of the support you are providing. We are looking for someone who is:
1. Warm & honest
2. Able to build trust and a safe environment
3. Resilient and Patient; able to handle challenges and stay positive through them
4. Empathetic and compassionate; always putting people first
5. Motivated & respectful
6. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
7. Kind, reliable, and community-minded
8. Open to learning — no prior experience needed
About the Role
9. Provide 1–5 hour support visits in people’s homes to enable carer respite
10. Build meaningful relationships with individuals and their families
11. Work flexibly — shifts can fit around your other commitments
12. Deliver high-quality care, recognised by strong Care Inspectorate ratings
Whether you're seeking a few hours a week or more regular work, we’re happy to discuss what works for you.
Whilst experience is always welcome, full training (including SVQ qualifications) is provided alongside regular support and supervision from your Service Manager. The right values and motivation are essential; honesty, respect, empathy, and compassion are key skills that are required in people who join our teams.
Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred, due to rural coverage
