Our client, based in South West London, is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative Supervisor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start as soon as possible. The salary for the role is up to £40,000 per annum. The role ensures all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality, while maintaining strong compliance with housing, health and safety, and building regulations. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance operatives delivering responsive repairs, voids, and estate maintenance works Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure timely completion of repairs and compliance with service targets Carry out inspections of works before and after completion to ensure quality standards are met Undertake multi-trade repair works when required, demonstrating practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance Ensure all repairs, voids, and maintenance works are accurately recorded, monitored, and completed in line with service standards Support effective void turnaround processes to ensure properties are re-let within target timescales Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed service levels and specifications Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, COSHH, and safe working procedures Experience required: Experience in housing, property maintenance, or repairs services Strong multi-trade background (plumbing, carpentry, general repairs) Experience supervising or coordinating operatives or contractors Experience working in social housing or residential property environments (desirable) Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Strong leadership and team supervision skills Good understanding of health & safety compliance and risk management Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively Strong communication skills with residents, contractors, and stakeholders Qualifications & Requirements Full UK driving licence (essential) CSCS card or equivalent (desirable) NVQ Level 2/3 in a construction or trade discipline (desirable) Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH – desirable) Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
