Experienced Greenkeeper Required – Woking Golf Club, Surrey
Woking Golf Club, established in 1893, is Surrey's oldest Heathland Golf Course and one of England's most esteemed and historic golf clubs. Renowned for its architectural history, the club currently resides as a World Top 100 course. We are seeking a dedicated, skilled and dynamic individual to join our esteemed team, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of our exceptional course.
Position Overview:
As an integral member of our greenkeeping team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Executing daily maintenance tasks to uphold the course's pristine condition.
* Collaborating with the team to implement agronomic practices.
* Operating and maintaining a range of turf care machinery.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine turf maintenance, including mowing, aeration, and irrigation.
* Assist in course setup for daily play and tournaments.
* Monitor and report on turf health, implementing corrective measures as needed.
* Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
* Proven experience in greenkeeping.
* Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Residency in the local Surrey/Berkshire area is essential.
Remuneration and Benefits:
* Competitive base salary of £30,000 per annum.
* Additional Weekend paid, Double-time compensation for Sundays and bank holidays. 1 in 3 Rota.
* Time off in lieu (TOIL) arrangements.
