What does the role involve?
We are seeking an enthusiastic employment law solicitor to join our Employment, Pensions and Immigration National Service line (NSL) based in Birmingham. You will advise employers on contentious and non-contentious employment matters across various sectors and engage in business development to promote the firm's practice.
The Birmingham team handles a diverse range of sectors, including health (private and NHS), commercial (automotive, manufacturing, retail), and higher education institutions.
What experience is required?
At least 1 year of experience as an employment lawyer in a reputable law firm or in-house setting.
You should be proactive, possess common sense and initiative, and be a team player capable of handling complex matters. Excellent time and document management skills, keen attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Experience supporting corporate transactions in employment law, including drafting contracts and undertaking due diligence, is desirable.

Who will I be working with?
You will collaborate with employment Partners in Birmingham: Jog Hundle, Richard Santy, Richard Barker, and Kate Watkins, as well as other team members. You may also assist colleagues in other offices within the cross-office Employment, Pensions, and Immigration NSL led by partner David Mills.
