SEN Teaching Assistants – March Opportunity | Full Time | Halesworth | Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time positions in Halesworth, with immediate starts available throughout March. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a meaningful difference in a supportive educational setting.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop socially and emotionally. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with a range of learning and additional needs in and out of the classroom
Assisting teachers in delivering adapted and personalised learning activities
Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Encouraging confidence, independence, and personal development in students
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and specialist professionals to provide the best support possible
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
A full UK driving licence (essential and non-negotiable due to travel between sites)
Availability to start during March and commit to full-time hours
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young people with additional needs
Previous experience supporting SEN pupils in schools, care settings, or support roles is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.

If you already hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only) registered on the Update Service, we can fast-track your clearance, allowing you to start work even sooner.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
