Management Accountant
The Role
we are now looking for a qualified and experienced Commercial Management Accountant to monitor and manage the unit’s accounting activities in liaison with other finance teams across the group. The successful candidate will also provide the same oversight to our Schaijk Production Unit, in the Netherlands, though regular travel will not be necessary
The successful candidate will be able to use and develop their skills in cost accounting, inventory controls, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Your main responsibilities will include…
· Act as a finance business partner to plant manager and operational teams.
· Monitor and manage financial and operational risks within the plant environment.
· Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
· Review job orders and variances; implement solutions to address root causes.
· Analysing monthly results, trends, and variances; provide clear explanations and recommendations.
· Oversee core accounting processes and ensure accurate monthly reporting, including Hyperion uploads.
· Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, and Supply Chain functions to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
· Collaborate with the UK finance team on transactional accounting and reporting activities.
· Prepare and review internal financial and operational statements.
· Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives
· Produce variance reports and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
· Maintain accurate costing and inventory master data across production units.
· Oversee plant inventory control, including cycle count procedures and asset safeguarding.
· Support capital acquisition planning and fixed asset management.

You will be an experienced Management Accountant with experience of working within a manufacturing business. You will also have the following skills, experiences and attributes…
· Master’s degree or fully qualified through CIMA/ACCA/ATA
· Extensive and recent experience in a manufacturing environment is a must
· Experience in product costing, maintenance of costing and inventory controls
· Experience using ERP Software (preferably SAP), Hyperion, or other consolidation/ reporting tools.
· Working knowledge of MS Excel for intermediate-level data analysis
· Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to challenge and constructively contribute to a cross-functional team and the business at large
· Advanced IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
