Join Our Team as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teacher to join our K-12 educational setting in beautiful Ashland, WI. This contract position spans the full school year and focuses on delivering personalized instruction that meets the unique communication and learning needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individualized Education Plans: Develop and implement tailored IEPs for students with hearing impairments.
* Innovative Teaching Methods: Utilize diverse communication techniques such as sign language, lip reading, and speech therapy to enhance student learning.
* Collaborative Environment: Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to foster a supportive and inclusive educational atmosphere.
* Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor student progress, adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
* Resource Provision: Provide training and resources to staff and parents on best practices for supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
* Certification: Hold certification or licensure in Deaf Education or possess related specialized training.
* Experience: Have at least 1+ years of experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
* Communication Skills: Strong knowledge of sign language and assistive communication technologies.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Instructional Strategies: Capability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs.
