We’re looking for an experienced Practice Bookkeeper to join our growing and friendly team. We work with a wide range of local SMEs — trades, manufacturers, driving instructors, service businesses — and we pride ourselves on being accurate, responsive, and genuinely supportive to our clients.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own portfolio of bookkeeping clients
- Daily/weekly/monthly bookkeeping in Xero (non-negotiable)
- Bank reconciliations, journals, prepayments/accruals, CIS, VAT returns
- Payroll experience beneficial (BrightPay)
- Supporting team members where needed
- Communicating with clients in a clear, friendly, and patient way
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time
- Working within our established systems and helping to improve them as we grow
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Minimum AAT Level 3 or ICB Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a bookkeeping or accountancy practice
- Strong practical experience with Xero
- Confident handling end-to-end bookkeeping
- A good communicator who builds great relationships
- Someone who is organised, dependable, and takes pride in getting things right
Beneficial:
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of CIS
- Experience with Dext, Apron, BrightPay, or similar tools
-Cash flow and report preparation

Pay: £36,000.00 per year
