Administrator/Receptionist

We are recruiting for three full‑time reception posts within the central team based in Preston.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Reception Team, you will meet and greet patients, book patients onto the Blithe/Lilie system in preparation for their appointment, schedule appointments via telephone, and assist in the day‑to‑day running of the reception to maintain an effective and efficient office system. You will also check clinic registration forms, manage negative results, and maintain accurate record‑keeping.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* ECDL qualification or equivalent and use of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience in a clerical setting in the last 2 years
* Experience of dealing with the general public in the last 12 months
* Experience of multidisciplinary team working
* Understanding of confidentiality guidance
* Previous administration work in a health care setting such as hospital or community
* Experience of database and spreadsheets
Skills and Ability
* Evidence of good communication abilities both written and verbal
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to understand and carry out instructions
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work with health professionals
* Self‑motivated and approachable
* Flexible approach to providing cover for evening and weekend clinics and for other staff on annual leave or sick leave
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to travel and visit locations as and when required across all sites
* Understanding of effective record keeping
* Open‑mind, non‑judgmental attitude
* Understanding of confidentiality policies in Sexual Health
* Awareness of systems such as Lilie
