About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Focus, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside the classroom. Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and small group support to secondary students, reinforcing learning objectives and promoting engagement. • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, adapting resources to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities. • Support students with additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, or literacy and numeracy interventions. • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to maintaining a focused and inclusive classroom environment. • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff as required. • Encourage students’ confidence, independence, and resilience in their learning journey. Qualifications: • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in a school or similar setting is desirable. • Understanding of additional learning needs and effective support strategies. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. • A patient, proactive, and supportive approach to learning.
