Overview
Location: North Region UK, Field based (Yorkshire, GB - United Kingdom)
Position: Medical Delivery Driver
Location: Field based, Lincoln County Hospital
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Working Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30
Responsibilities
From the northern team, you will deliver and collect rental equipment to hospital wards across the Lincoln County Hospital NHS Trust site. You will be responsible for delivering equipment directly to wards and collecting equipment that is no longer required. The majority of equipment you will handle includes pressure-relieving mattresses, which are inflated on hospital beds and then deflated by the wards, rolled up, and bagged for collection. You will log all serial numbers of equipment as it goes in and out of the hospital using an iPad/iPhone, so a keen eye for detail is essential.
All installation requests need to be delivered within 4 hours, so a methodical and practical approach is required to ensure patients do not wait long for essential equipment.
The role involves lifting; you must be able to lift bulky mattresses for extended periods. Equipment is provided to assist with moving rental products around the hospitals. No previous experience is required, as full training will be given. Personality, enthusiasm, positivity, and communication skills are essential to help Arjo build strong relationships with customers. You will be the face of Arjo in hospitals for our customers and patients. We are looking to add to our team and seek people who want to make a difference.
The skills you will need
* A practical approach.
* Ability to prioritise work and amend route plans accordingly.
* A positive and team-oriented approach.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Enhanced DBS clearance: Required (at the cost of Arjo).
* Must be able to lift bulky mattresses for prolonged periods.
* May be required to work outside normal hours (evenings, weekends, bank holidays) and participate in the “On Call” rota.
