Reporting to the Senior Technologist, the Technologist - Cyber Physical Asset Management will be responsible for managing and enhancing the cyber-physical system capabilities within the UK Digital Twin Centre. This role serves as the bridge between physical assets and their digital representations, ensuring reliable integration and optimal performance of digital twin implementations. The position focuses on device management, system monitoring, logging practices, and data governance across the digital twin cyber-physical infrastructure.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
* Manage and enhance cyber-physical system capabilities within the UK Digital Twin Centre, ensuring reliable integration and optimal performance.
* Develop and maintain device management systems, system monitoring frameworks, and logging practices for digital twin implementations.
* Define and document technical requirements for digital twin systems, translating stakeholder needs into actionable specifications.
* Lead research and development initiatives to explore new opportunities in cyber-physical asset management and digital twin technologies.
* Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulatory requirements and standards, maintaining data governance and integrity.
* Support commercial proposals and contribute to Digital Twin as a Service (DTaaS) development, enabling wider adoption of digital twin solutions.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Experience)
* Strong knowledge of digital twin technologies and cyber-physical system integration, including industrial IoT and asset lifecycle management.
* Experience in implementing complex cyber-physical systems, such as industrial control systems, IoT platforms, or monitoring solutions.
* Expertise in system integration architectures, including message-oriented middleware (pub/sub, queuing) and ETL processes.
* Proficiency in software development and programming, supporting the effective management and integration of cyber-physical assets.
* Demonstrated ability to manage data integrity and compliance within cyber-physical asset frameworks.
* Experience in emerging technology monitoring, assessing trends and integrating new innovations into digital twin systems.
