Salary: £12.25 - £13.25 per hour (depending on experience), Permanent contract, 24 hours (weekends only)
Shockerwick House is a historic building converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays, and day care. It is located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site.
The home has wheelchair-friendly gardens, an orangery, and a vegetable plot. Residents can relax or socialize in the beautifully appointed rooms. The home has a secure entry and exit system, a 24-hour call system, and all bedrooms have TVs and telephones.
Special diets are catered for, and the home has magnificent, oak-panelled dining rooms. Hot and cold options are included, and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and night.
Relaxation sessions, manicures, and foot spas are some of the additional benefits of life at Shockerwick House, along with arts and crafts and musical afternoons.
About the Role
We make health happen by supporting those when they need it the most. Our care homes deliver person-centred care, supporting independence and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
* Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
* Taking responsibility for managing new enquiries
* Providing advice and support both face-to-face and over the phone
* Conducting show-arounds within the care home
* Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties
* Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed
Key Skills and Qualifications
You’ve worked as a Receptionist before, with experience in providing excellent customer service. You’ll have a friendly manner, be approachable and organized, and have the ability to build strong relationships with our residents, their families, and internal teams.
