Job Description Employment Solicitor (Associate) – Hybrid Location : Leeds City Centre Salary : £55,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience) Experience : Around 5 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) If you are an Employment Solicitor looking for a role with a strong mix of executive exits, tribunal work and broader advisory support, this is an excellent opportunity to join a values-led, employee-owned firm in Leeds City Centre. This is a hybrid position, with a typical pattern of two to three days in the office and two to three days from home following probation. You will work closely with senior colleagues on a varied employment caseload, with scope to build your profile and take the next step in your career. The Opportunity This role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on caseload, values high standards of client care, and wants the support and structure to develop further. Manage a varied employment caseload, including executive exits and employment tribunal litigation (with a focus on claimant work) Support on employment aspects of wider commercial matters, working alongside the Company and Commercial team Draft clear, accurate correspondence and legal documents, including tribunal pleadings and settlement documentation Prepare matters efficiently and methodically, ensuring deadlines are met and client care standards remain high Work under supervision while taking ownership of day-to-day progress on files Communicate confidently with clients and other parties by phone, email and in person What We’re Looking For You will be organised, accurate and confident explaining technical employment law issues in a clear, client-friendly way. Essential Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate Strong employment law experience, ideally around 5 years’ PQE (or equivalent) Good working knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail Strong client care and communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner Able to prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines Confident IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly Proactive, flexible approach and a genuine team mindset Desirable Respondent litigation experience Experience advising employers on non-contentious employment matters What’s On Offer Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience) Hybrid working (typically two to three days in the office and two to three days from home following probation) Employee-owned culture with profit share (subject to eligibility and service) Supportive environment where hard work and ability are recognised Clear development support to help you build a long-term career in employment law Location & Working Arrangements Leeds City Centre.
