Flexible working is available – full‑time with compressed hours considered. Home working is possible, but office attendance of at least three days per week is required in London or Cheltenham (commutable distances only). This role will lead the full learning cycle, from needs analysis to design, delivery and evaluation, using proven L&D frameworks and technologies, and will be responsible for keeping the Learning Management System up to date. The position requires the highest security clearance (Developed Vetting), British citizenship or dual British nationality, and a commitment to maintain a strict drugs policy throughout the recruitment and employment process.
Responsibilities
* Elicit training needs by engaging stakeholders and subject‑matter experts.
* Run workshops and other processes to understand requirement and map learning solutions.
* Design, deliver and evaluate learning interventions such as e‑learning modules, instructor‑led sessions and other innovative resources.
* Update and maintain existing learning materials and track their relevance.
* Maintain data within the Learning Management System, analyse analytics and feedback, and report on programme effectiveness.
* Research and implement emerging learning trends, including the role of AI in L&D operations.
* Collaborate with managers and experts to identify capabilities and propose solutions that improve operational performance.
* Provide additional support to learners and contribute to continuous improvement of the L&D team’s processes.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience leading the full learning cycle in a professional environment.
* Formal L&D or HR‑related qualification (e.g., CIPD, City & Guilds, ILM) or equivalent professional knowledge gained through practice.
* Experience with modules and methodologies such as ADDIE, Kolb or Kirkpatrick.
* Knowledge of learning technologies and LMS, with the ability to track and evaluate analytics, data and feedback.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and proven teamwork with managers and subject‑matter experts.
* Excellent organizational, proactive and emotional‑intelligence skills; passion for adult learning and development.
