Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with our client, a well-established and dynamic company based in Perth, Scotland, as they seek an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth processing of transactions, and supporting the wider finance team whilst also playing a pivotal role during month end. On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting.
* Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
* Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and payroll processing.
* Handling supplier and customer queries in a professional manner.
* Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and have a genuine enthusiasm for working in a finance team. In addition, it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar accounts role alongside possession of excellent numerical and IT skills.
