We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our Air and Fuel Systems team at our Peterborough facility. You'll be part of a global organization with a strong legacy in industrial diesel engine development and a reputation for powering progress across continents.

At our Peterborough site, we lead the engineering, marketing, sales, and manufacturing of industrial engines up to 7 litres. These engines serve a wide variety of applications and are known for their performance, quality, and reliability. Our team is passionate about innovation and driven to deliver solutions that make a difference across the construction, agricultural, and power generation industries.
As a Design Engineer in the Component Engineering department, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable air and fuel system components – from concept through to production. This hands-on role provides the opportunity to lead design projects, work with a cross-functional team, and collaborate globally to deliver world-class products.
Deliver component development projects within time, cost, and quality targets
Lead and participate in design reviews to gain business support and approval
Develop specifications and collaborate with suppliers to ensure robust design and delivery
Understand customer requirements and translate them into effective design solutions
Prepare and review technical documentation to support production release
Engage with global teams to implement solutions at manufacturing facilities
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
~Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals and engine components/systems
~ Proficient in CAD (ideally Creo) and PLM systems (e.g., Strong project management and problem-solving skills
~ Background in the off-highway diesel engine sector
