Overview
Housing Care Worker role at Trust Housing Association – based in Galashiels. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of £13 per hour.
Operating between 7.00am and 10.00pm, seven days a week, you will support older and vulnerable adults in their own homes. You will help with daily living tasks based on individual care plans, including administering medication, personal support, and meals. You will get to know residents and provide care in the way they prefer.
Responsibilities
* Support older and vulnerable adults in their own homes according to individual care plans.
* Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meals, and medication administration as required.
* Provide empathetic, person-centred care to improve tenants’ quality of life.
* Work shifts between 7.00am and 10.00pm, seven days a week, including a rolling pattern with a mix of weekdays and weekends.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable individuals is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training is provided.
* Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic IT skills.

Additional Requirements
This role is subject to satisfactory interview, references and a PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC and complete mandatory training within a defined timeframe, with commitment to studying for an SVQ in Care & Support if not already held.
